ABOUT ILM4x4
It started simply — Phil Vizzini and Harrison Carney met up and decided Wilmington needed its own Toyota club. They wanted to create something local and fun for Toyota owners in the area — a place where like-minded people could get together and enjoy their trucks.
That idea became ILM 4×4 Toyotas, and over seven years later, the community has grown to more than 1,200 members strong.
We’re not a club with dues, bylaws, or a long list of rules. We’re neighbors, coworkers, and strangers who happened to buy the same kind of truck — and found out that was enough to build real friendships.
Whether you’re rolling in a beat-up classic Toyota Hilux, a lifted Toyota 4Runner, a Toyota Tacoma you’ve been modding for years, or a brand new Toyota Tundra still wearing its sticker price — you belong here.
Our focus is simple: good people, great trucks, and getting together as often as we can. From monthly meetups and local shows to our annual Fort Fisher beach run, we keep the calendar full and the tailgates down.
Every event is family- and pet-friendly — because the best truck runs include everyone.

UPCOMING EVENTS
We try and meet here around 7:45 to get a good spot. We meet in the middle of the lot, and fly our flag. Ideally we would like at least 10-15 trucks show up. In the past couple of events we have had a larger turn out. All events are family and pet friendly. Rain or shine.
ILM 4×4’s largest event of the year! Plan to spent all day enjoying the sand, surf, and company of other Toyota groups from across North Carolina. We all meet up around 8am in the Ft Fisher parking lot, then drive out from there. The exact location on the beach will be determined closer to the actual event. Please bring your family (furry ones too), food, drink, and sunscreen. If you bring drinks be sure to have them covered in a drink coozie. The park closes at 8:30pm. Day and year passes can be purchased at the park office. If you have any questions please reach out.
This event is rain or shine, and keep in mind that in the end of June, its normally pretty sunny and hot. Wind and cloud cover will determine what sort of day it is. Low tide will be at 12:14pm, so this will make for a great family day in the water.
